Review: Devil You Know

Devil You Know Devil You Know by L.A. Fiore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 1 in the Lost Boys series focuses on Damian.
As a boy his life was hell. His mother, I hate to even call her that with the way she treated him so we'll call her his incubator. Damian's incubator made his life hell, never loving him or treating him as a child should be. Instead she blamed him and was determined to make him think he was nothing.
He met Cam in school and they quickly became friends, along with Cam's sister Thea. Their family take Damian under their wing, they try to offer everything he never had at home and give him the same things they give their own children. They teach him he is worthy, show him what real love is.
Damian & Thea eventually fall in love but secrets and the direction their lives are taking force them to make tough choices and sacrifices.

13 years later a tragedy brings Damian home. He's seen things, changed. The boy who enlisted straight out of high school is gone and in his place is a haunted man Thea wants to help but he won't let her, he keeps his distance.
Until he can't.

I absolutely adored this book. Suspense, heartbreak, romance and healing are just a smidge of what you'll experience as you follow these characters as they try to move on and make lives for themselves.
5 stars.
