Awakened in the middle of the night, 18year old Lyrick sneaks out of her room to see what's wrong and finds a man murdering her mother. This is the first time she shifts into wolf form, something she was unaware she could do until the anger overtook her.
She's been on her own, stuck in wolf form for two years when she runs across a human who knows what she is and offers to help her.
Lyrick is afraid it could be a trap, but more afraid of not knowing if there are others like her.
Once they arrive it all seems familiar to Lyrick, like she's been here before. After she's reacquainted with her human side and she has a family again a truth comes out, one that's life changing.
Now she's up against a battle not just for her life but for the life of the entire pack.
And through it all she's fighting her attraction to another wolf, Dakota. He's the strongest, most loyal, protective man she's ever met. But he runs hot and cold. She can't read him so she attempts to ignore the pull he has on her.
Lyrick is faced with many problems but she's strong, certainly she and the other warriors can protect the pack and defeat the enemy.
I loved this story from the beginning, the author sucks you in with the first chapter and kept me engaged until the very end.
