Review: Careless

Careless Careless by Michelle Heard (Horst)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness, Jaxson & Leigh.
I was looking forward to their story from the middle of book 2, I knew it was going to be absolutely amazing and it was. Careless is a standalone read but I highly suggest reading this series from the beginning.
So Jax & Leigh have a past, it's not pretty, infacte it's quite painful and when they cross paths six years later the pain is still there.
Jax tries with everything he is to get through to Leigh, to show her he's not th eman she thinks he is. That he too was deeply affected by their past history. Leigh is a bit emotionally stunted, she's a freaking genius but emotionally she hits a roadblock at anything beyond friends.
Changing her view on the world is not an easy thing to do no matter how much she'd love to do it for Jax.
These two have one heck of an uphill climb to try to resuscitate any chance of friendship let alone anything more.
All the while I'm half focused on Marcus, I was dying waiting for more on him after book two.
Careless is another favorite from Michelle Heard, I look forward to the rest of this series.
