Perception by Heather Hildenbrand

My Boyfriend is a Senator:

She’s dressed in jeans and sneakers. You’re in a short, scoop-neck dress and heels. Together, you make a set of paper doll outfits.

This is why your parents have been quiet lately. When you speak with them, they are impressed. They think it’s something you picked up in rehab. Little do they know—your boyfriend is a senator.

Drive by Nealy Gihan:

There wasn't much Simona's father and Trevor had in common. Simona's father was a second-generation Dominican American in his early fifties with advance college degrees and an impressive Corporate America title. Trevor, a white man in his mid-thirties raised by a single mother and occasionally present truck driver father, possessed barely enough business acumen to make a living with his Seattle tattoo studio.
