My Review
4.5 stars.
I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a debut novel than this.
I enjoyed Cali's story, getting back to her roots so to speak after losing someone close to her and realizing her job isn't what she wants out of life. She heads back to her lake cabin to recharge and reevaluate what she wants out of life.
Enter Owen. The boy next door each summer at the lake. It's been ten years since they've seen each other.
He kissed her goodbye as she left for college and that's the last she'd seen of him until now.
Cali & Owen's story is a sweet romance, with a few twists and turns along the way, they both find what they came to the lake looking for.
The story kept me engaged from beginning to end, is very well written and has characters you can relate to and fall in love with!
