If you've heard of or read Jason Luke prior to The Light House, prepare to be blown away with a completely different type of book.
I've read and loved books like Interview with a Master so this one was a huge swing in the opposite direction of anything else the author has written and it's pretty damn spectacular.
The Light House is a page turner, hooking the reader from the first chapter and kept me turning the pages until the end. The story flows and is well written, which is to be expected from Luke. It's also very descriptive, you can almost visualize what your reading.
A broken man who has to learn to let go and to live again.
A wounded woman looking at her life and wondering how to start over.
The Light House tells the story of a truly great romance, one that has to be fought for, that requires those involved to face their problems head on and come out of it stronger.
And lets not forget Ned. Ned the dog is a pretty important character as well, I loved his fierce loyalty.
While this is a completely different style of book from Jason Luke, I think it could be his best thus far. I'm looking forward to what comes next from the author.
