It’s a battle between her head and her heart.
Bailey Reynolds never thought she would ever in her life have to choose between someone that will give her everything she wants in life and someone that makes her feel like she is everything in his life. How does this southern spitfire choose between what her heart wants versus what her head tells her she wants?

This is one of those rare debut novels that leaves you with a smile on your face, knowing there's more to come and this author is going to be one of your favorites. I admit I'm a bit rough on debut novels, they can show potential, be utterly unreadable or be absolutely amazing and Love Me ~ Like That was amazing. The story flows well, has a bit of everything I look for in a novel and didn't lose my interest at all. Bailey. A young woman who's always wanted out of her small town. She doesn't want to live her life hand to mouth and thinks college and an apparent knight in shining armor are the answer. She loves deeply and cares for her family enough to put her dreams on hold to go home and take care of them. Once home things between her and mister perfect start to change, his armor is not so shiny anymore. Realizing that she has in fact changed to accommodate him, to make him happy she's confused by the choices she's made. She made them for the right reasons in her mind but did she do it the right way? Cash. A young man raised to love God and mama, loyal, hard working and sexy. Gentleman to the core. He and his mother are new in town but it doesn't take long for him to notice his neighbor or the way her rich boyfriend treats her. The more he gets to know her the more he wants Bailey. He's a patient man, knows how to give her the time, space and support she needs. Best of all he allows her to make her own decisions, he doesn't push. Bailey has some choices to make, an when she makes them things don't exactly go smoothly. She has to stand up for herself, put her foot down and fight for what she wants. Cash is my new favorite book boyfriend, he is absolutely perfect. Bailey, I adored her from the beginning but on occasion I was tempted to smack her in the head, just a little "hey what the hell are you thinking" kinda tap. She's young though so I'll let her have her weaknesses!! You will fall in love with everyone from Bailey to Lizzie, granny an papa, to Cash and his family. |
Renee Kennedy grew up in Decatur, AL and has been married to her high school sweet heart for 23 years. She currently lives in the Houston, TX area with her husband Jason, her son Braxton, and one very spoiled Yorkie, Chico. She also has one son that is serving our Country in the military, Brett.
She loves living in Texas but she’ll always be a Bama girl and that is where her heart remains. Renee has always been an avid reader but never dreamed of writing a book, until reminiscing about her grandparent’s love story, Bailey’s story popped into her head. Her grandparents played a significant role in her life growing up, so sharing a little piece of them with the world, helps keep them alive in her heart.
When she is not reading or writing she loves to cook and try out new recipes. You can often find her hanging out with her family and friends or stalking her own favorite authors.
Chico, her mini Yorkie, runs Renee's house and her so his every need must be catered too, after all he is her 3rd baby.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review and support! Much Love!
