Review
5 stars
Pierre LeRoux, a French chef who came to Australia with the girl he fell in love with. They held off on having a family while Pierre's career took off.
With an amazing career giving him the title Master Chef, Pierre and Eva had it all until a tragic even took the love of his life from him leaving him hollow and without hope. Pierre became known as the Monster Chef due to his temperment.
Holly, a single mom due to the loss of her husband needs a job and she finds it at Table One.
She also finds the surly Pierre who initially tries to run scare her off.
But Holly mans up and stands up to him, something that nobody does. Everyone is so worried about the wrath of Pierre they keep their mouths shut and tread lightly around him, until Holly.
Holly and Pierre are drawn to each other, as much as he would prefer not to be he can't deny his attraction.
Holly and Pierre are both broken, Pierre more so than Holly, and Holly's daughter Emma is just what Pierre needs to break down his walls. Once he meets the adorable 7 year old his heart begins to thaw and he finds a reason to live again.
I loved the back an forth between these two, their fights and snarkiness was amusing and watching them slowly fall for each other and then come to the realization that they had was delightful. I was pleasantly surprised by Monster Chef, I didn't expect so much emotion from it initially but it was an amazing story that blended the emotional, the tragic and the healing beautifully along with a playfulness that tied it all together.

**Bound by custom
or unique by choice.**
There's something about the written word that's pure magic.
Possibly it's the fact that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, and they
can create something so beautiful or so empowering that they're able to change
our lives.
How important is it that we break suit and stretch our minds?
I like to think of myself as 'unique'. My stories aren't for everyone, and
sometimes I may push what you believe to be 'normal'.
Normal is subjective.
I prefer to be known as a person who's never been 'bound by custom' but is
'unique by choice'.
Until next time
