An explosive love
story of a mother and her struggle to be with the love of her life against all
odds. Logan is strong, sexy, and the type of father that Dana’s daughters
deserve in their lives. Dana’s life is rocked by tragedy, she is forced into
running from her psychotic ex-husband, Ian, and it seems he’s determined to
keep them apart.
Left with nowhere
else to turn Dana and her girls seek shelter in a women’s refuge in Manchester,
where Dana finds lifelong friendships in the other women who live there. Sisters
brought together by despair that haunts them every single day, but the laughter
they bring keeps out the darkness that is Dana’s past, she hopes she can find
herself again. But a life away from Logan and his ability to ignite the flame
deep inside her is almost unbearable.
Dana’s not the only
one, Logan will fight anyone and anything to be back in Dana’s arms again. Can
they carve out an existence for their fiery passion amid Ian’s rage?

Dana is on the run. She and her daughters are living in what is basically an abused women's shelter. Her ex is psychotic, he abused her and threatened to kill them over and over. Enough so that she is afraid to be with Logan, the love of her life and father of one of her daughters.
This story is Dana's struggle to keep her children safe with the ultimate goal of finally being able to stop running and provide a stable life for her girls with Logan.
She describes in detail some of the abuse she suffered at her ex's hands, it's very dark and possibly disturbing to some sensitive to the subject.
I should probably feel more for this story than I do, I'm usually very sympathetic to the battered woman's story but for some reason this one left me with questions. I understood her running and leaving Logan to protect him and that he was injured so supposedly he's not capable of protecting them. I just don't understand what kind of injury would prevent him from protecting his family, he seems to do everything else with them just fine. He comes to their rescue more than once and is perfectly capable of driving, taking trips, diving etc so either I completely missed something or it's just not explained clearly enough for me.
And with Logan being a main character in the story I felt we didn't get enough background on him, maybe that's my issue with my questions about Logan.
Also there were a few instances of the author repeating certain parts of the story but it doesn't prevent you from keeping up with what is happening, it just seems the story could use a bit more editing.
The story itself was decent but has the potential to be great. I look forward to book two in the Shameless series and hope to fall in love with it.
He put his hand into the small of
my back and the warmth of his hand charged through my body spreading like fire
through my veins.
“OH my god.”
I turned toward him, and moved my
hands to hold him back, placing my hand on his amazing ass. I truly could not
help myself. That earned me another sexy-as-hell grin from him that made my
knickers soaking wet.
As I stood there in his
half-embrace, I noticed the glow of his golden skin even his jeans showcased
his ass beautifully. He really is a very pretty package, in a manly way.
I felt hands move slowly over my
hips as I danced to the beat of the music I turned into his stunningly large
frame, his powerful arms wrapped around my middle, as he moved his hands to cup
my ass. Then he swooped while his hips pressed against me. I may have swooned.
Logan reached up and swept my hair
to one side, exposing my skin there, I quivered in anticipation as I felt the
heat of his breath blow against my sensitive skin at my neck stroking his
fingers along my shoulder blade. My body reacted making my thighs clench
tightly together.
I tilted my head slightly to the
side in invitation; I was totally mesmerized by him like id been hypnotised,
completely lost in that moment. I couldn’t help myself really. The only
coherent thought I had in that moment, was God, if I’m dreaming please don’t
let me wake up. I wouldn’t want to miss this.

Hi all I am just your normal average everyday
mum nothing exciting, I was brought up in Manchester and I am now living in the
beautiful Scottish borders with my three children.
I have enjoyed writing my story as I had a pretty hard upbringing and have
suffered like everyone does over the years in different situations but everyone
has a story to tell.
