"An unexpected evil brings both the MC and Military world together in this brand new series by J.M. Walker"
His demons are loud.
Held captive within his mind, he does everything he can to forget his life before Vice-One.
As one of the newest recruits, his main goal is to have his “brothers” trust him and he’ll do just about anything to make that happen. Until one passionate night with Creena Chan, the military was all he had.
She’s hiding from her past.
A trained professional, she keeps that part of her life to herself. The darkness weighs heavily on her chest, mixing with the beats of her heart, caused by the one man she tries to ignore. Vincent Stone is nothing like she imagined. Months of flirting lead to an explosion she never saw coming.
Only when Creena and Stone’s limits are tested, do they realize exactly what they will do to find that peace their family and friends deserve.

You
know those books you adore, you can't wait for the next book and even
when you know the end is coming you want to devour the last book like
it's the first?
That's Rust for me. I waited patiently for it, watched as the author teased readers, hinted at the story line and then it was in my hands.
I was beyond excited, I mean ready to sit down, dig in and not stop until the end.
But something changed.
I got into Creena and Stone's story and while I needed to finish their story, I needed closure and for their suffering to end I began to slow down. I realized that even though I needed their ending that it also meant THE END. Last book. No more King's Harlots and I couldn't rush it.
Stone and Creena's story deserves to be experienced in that manner, not rushed, not sprinting for the finish line. Their struggles deserve to be read and experienced at a slower pace, one that allows the reader to truly get them. There is so much going on with these characters, while hiding and struggling to keep moving they make mistakes.
Not to say their book isn't beyond hot because let me tell ya it's off the charts smokin', it just so happens that while it adds sooo much to the story it doesn't take away from the perilous path they are on trying to find something to calm their mind and soul.
They are that elixir to each other but in order to reach that perfect state where trust and acceptance are king they have to struggle and fight for what they need, fight for each other.
It's over. The series is done but I'm not ready to see these characters go, I hope we see/hear more from Vice One and the King's Harlots somewhere down the road.
