If your like me you've been anxiously awaiting the next in the series so we can read all about our favorite sexy men.
Book 5 is Cleo's story. He was a pararescuman in the Air Force when he and Rue first met.
Cleo doesn't do relationships, he's seen all of his fellow PJ's marriages crash and burn do to their jobs so he refuses to put a woman through that.
He meets Rue by chance and a friendship develops. He's always there for her and her Nonnie helping out wherever he can.
Until one night their relationship changes and the next morning Cleo is gone. Not to be heard from for a year.
Now he's back and Rue is faced with something she hoped she was over and wouldn't have deal with again. She loves Cleo but knows there is no point, he couldn't possibly want her.
Rue has some slight self esteem issues, but come on what girl wouldn't when faced with a man like Cleo.
The thing is Cleo wants more with Rue. He always has but he hid it because of his job. Now he's out of the Air Force and home for good, but can he convince her he won't leave her again? Can they overcome past issues?
I won't give anything away but ladies, if you have read this series from the beginning there is a shocker in this one. I cried, Ms Vale broke my heart with something you wouldn't have expected.
I'm sure to have a book hangover for a few days after reading this one but it was worth it. Another 5 star read in an amazing series.
