Whistlin' Dixie by Maggie Adams ~ Review
4.5 stars
Whistlin' Dixie is Maggie Adams debut and it only took those 128 pages to make me a fan.
Mac Coalson has his business, his family and a vandal to catch.
His livelihood is threatened by the repeated and increasing in damage, vandalism of the properties his company is building.
Dixie Harris is the new kindergarten teacher. She's just 21 and raising her 16yr old brother.
She meets Mac under the worst of circumstances and neither is highly impressed with the other.
I love Dixie. She's full of fire and doesn't give in.
After Dixie calms down she goes to see Mac at work hoping to help him with his vandalism problem.
Sparks fly.
Serious sparks!!
Mac is now confused, he's attracted to Dixie but she's only 21, what the hell is he thinking?
I kept thinking well Mac, your both adults so stop freaking thinking an go get the girl, eventaully he gives in thank goodness.
The book ends with a traumatic event that could have been deadly the Coalson and Harris families.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series, I adore the Coalson family!
