Review 4 stars Over the Top is my first book by the author and the fourth in the Maverick Montana series. Not having read the first three in the series didn't take away from Hawk and Dawn's story at all though now I'd like to go back and read the previous books after meeting the characters in this one.
I love a strong heroine and Dawn was just that. Feisty, knows what she wants and when she goes after something she puts her whole self into it.
Hawk is the wounded, slightly broken, alpha who sees his next mission as his last. Yea I adore a wounded alpha, the one who is dead set in his ways and refuses to change for anyone, they are so much fun to watch fall!
I enjoyed Hawk and Dawn's story, there were moments that made me laugh out loud, stomp my foot wanting nothing more than to give our hero a good smack, and moments that made me swoon. All in all it's a sweet read about a couple fated to be together and makes me look forward to who's story could be next.
