This book shows you the ugly side of the mafia and four guys who'll stop at nothing to end it. Joseph went down to stop his uncle from continuing operations. While down there, he learns his cousins don't want this life. He in turns helps them take it the evil. Alexa, is trying to move on from Joseph leaving her. He is always on her mind. We learn a lot about them from childhood to now. It helps understand things more I think. The mafia life is never pretty but the love that Alexa and Joseph have make you almost believe it is. They prove that you can violent when needed but also live a life of happiness. This series has really been a complete joy to read. I have fallen in love with all these characters. The women in these books are some of the strongest you will read about. They have overcome some horrorifying things, lived to tell about it and found true love in the processes. I think that in its self is remarkable!
