I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn't.. I had to give this book 3.5 stars. I admit that I was intrigued from the blurb, I mean what girl doesn't love a guy who races fast cars. I was thinking fast and furious in my head but it wasn't anything like it for me. I think my biggest issue was Titan himself. I get that he's a huge deal, a legend in the sport but his arrogance and over controlling ways really threw me off. I'm all for the guy taking control but it seemed that Kaidence couldn't do anything without him involved somehow. I mean there's a line in the book that says"He allowed her to say goodbye to the girls." I'm sorry but that didn't sit well with me. It just seemed to me that he knew she was this sweet naïve girl and knew exactly how to control her every movement. It was just sickening at times. I also get he had a reputation to uphold and a bunch of hidden secrets that eventually came out after a stalker made him tell the truth. I will say the sex was hot between them and the group of friends were incredibly close and had each other's backs like a family. The only thing I liked about Titan was he knew his cars like the back of his hands and had mad respect for others in the racing league. I also chuckled a lot when all the families got together. This may sound harsh but my favorite part was when she finally had enough and broke up with him. She held her ground for a while and had some serious plans but then somehow he sweet talked his way back in and she fell hook, line and sinker right back. I feel really bad but I just couldn't get passed the arrogance and over controlling way of Titan to enjoy the book. It just ruined it for me.
