Tempted just did not work for me, in any way.
Yes Jake initially was tempting, he's wounded and starting over, not jumping into bed with every chick that comes his way so in the beginning he had that going for him.
Unfortunately that's where my love for this book ended.
Holly who seemed to be smart and independent ended up being anything but, by the end she came across as a stage 5 clinger.
With the past popping up out of the blue just when Jake was getting his life on track I expected a little back an forth. Funny thing is Jake didn't have any of that, no wishy washy oh the love of my life showed back up, no he was dead set against anything involving her so why did she get another ride on the Jake train?? No clue. That as well as a few other things just didn't fit into what was at best a watery plot.
I wanted to love this book, I really did but between the missing pieces, the jealous ex getting her way and the sex scenes that repeatedly used terms that were not the least bit of a turn on I just can't give this book a great rating. 2.5-3 is the best I can do.
