Pulled Apart Release by Leigh Stone ~ Blog Tour

Title: Pulled Apart
Series: Belfast Bound
Author: Leigh Stone
 Release Date: July 7, 2015

Synopsis

It’s been a long journey to get here. A long and painful journey, I have the scars, nightmares and panic attacks to prove it. I never would have believed all those years ago that Oliver Watson would have been my worst nightmare. I’m not sorry that he’s dead. I’m just sorry that it wasn’t at my hand. I hate him. I hate what he did to me. I hate what he has taken from me. But more than anything, I hate him for taking the coward's way out. He was supposed to rot in prison for his crimes, not leave me to be the only one to face what happened.

I’m Juliet Monroe, I’m twenty five years old and I have been through hell. But I’ve learned so much about myself, and the thing that I’ve learned most is just how strong I can be, but as strong as I am, without my friends, I wouldn’t be here. I’ve learned that friends can be your lifeline, friends can be your support, friends can be your saviour, and sometimes, they might just save your life.

He took my hand when we got off the bus, and he didn’t let go not even when we reached my front door and I turned to say goodnight.
“Thanks for walking me home.” I smiled at him.
He bowed in a grand sweeping gesture and stooped lifting my hand to his lips. “The pleasure is all mine Milady.” He grinned up at me, his lips grazing across my knuckles as he looked up at me. There was an element of desire in his eyes, and I felt the excitement in my stomach at the thought of a man looking at me in such a way. He wanted me, and I couldn’t help but feel pulled in by it, wanting to do something about it, but being seventeen and inexperienced, and not really knowing where to start.
He continued to look at me like that as he straightened up and pulled me in against him. I looked into his dark pools of black and felt a sudden rush of warmth over my face when I realised that he was moving in for a kiss. His lips touched mine, and the electricity that passed between us sizzled intensely. His hand left mine and circled my waist, drawing me closer, his other hand resting in my hair, holding me captive to his kiss. His tongue swept across my lips, and I was powerless to resist, overwhelmed by hormonal teenage lust I parted my lips and let his tongue massage mine. My arms went around his neck and I held on as my knees weakened and I let Ollie’s wicked tongue tease and tempt me.
When his lips parted from mine my eyes wouldn’t open, instead I stood there for a moment wrapped up in the euphoric little bubble that was surrounding the momentous occasion of my first kiss.
“Open your eyes Sunshine.” He told me, and I could hear the smile in his voice.
My eyelids fluttered open at his words, and I looked at him, looking like the cat who got the cream. “That you for a lovely evening, and an even more lovely kiss goodnight.” He smiled, kissed my forehead and turned to leave.
“Can I see you again Ollie?” I called out after him as he closed the gate at the bottom of the garden path.
“You can count on it Sunshine!” He grinned, blew me a kiss, and walked off down the street back towards the bus stop.
I turned and walked the few steps to the door, turned my key, and floated up to my bedroom on a cloud. I had met a man, I had been out on a date, I had had my first kiss. This was just incredible, life finally seemed like it was going to start heading in the right direction for me, and I couldn’t be more happy about it.

Author Bio

I'm Leigh Stone, I live in Northern Ireland, just outside the capital city of Belfast, in a house I share with my teenage daughter, and our personal zoo (1 cat, 2 kittens, and 2 rabbits!). I'm first and foremost a reader, and a fast reader at that, often devouring books in a single sitting over a period of hours. I have always had aspirations to write and become a published author, but as a teenager I was encouraged to look for a different profession, as being an author "wouldn't pay the bills."It was that reading that lead a friend of mine to suggest that I had read so many of those books that I could probably write my own! It seemed like a good idea, and I thought that I would give it a try :) a few months later Lex's Melody was well underway, and the rest as they say is history!
