Review: Lawless

A quick read, not so much a novella as a prequel to Sound of Silence, which based off this is going to be an emotional ride.
This introduces us to the major players, Piper and Caden. Piper is pregnant and in mourning of her fiancee & babies father who happened to be Caden's best friend. Caden shows up at her door to fulfill a promise to Justin to take care of her and their child.
Caden's no Justin. He doesn't know how to do relationships, he's harder, not as emotional as he should be. He's also at a crossroads in his life, it's going to be interesting seeing where their journey takes them.
I hadn't read this author before now but I'll be sure to read her other books while waiting for the followup to Lawless.
