Review: Magnificent Bastard

Magnificent Bastard Magnificent Bastard by Lili Valente
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sebastian Prince, aka Bash, owner and operator of Magnificent Bastard.
Need to get even with an ex who did you wrong?
Bash is the man for the job. He'll do whatever it takes to make things right for you, whether it's getting enough dirt on the ex scumbag to land him in jail or just make him believe you have the total love and adoration of a sexy 6 foot God.
32 year old Bash is a good man with a heart of gold even though after being ditched by the one woman he loved he swore he'd never give another one the chance to destroy him again, he helps women get themselves back after a nasty breakup.

Penny Pickett is his 25 year old virtual assistant.
Hired, paid and working from behind her computer screen or phone she's never actually met her boss. That doesn't bother her, she prefers working in the background.
They have great chemistry, their work relationship developed into a friendship neither expected but wouldn't give up for anything. Bash has tried to get her to meet him in real life, she's always declined but it never deterred him from trying again.

Until one day out of the blue Bash is surprised when Penny finally agrees to meet. Once he sees her he knows he's screwed, he's intrigued and has a strong attraction to the woman who has become his best friend.
Penny didn't show up just because, she is in need of the Magnificent Bastard's help and though she can't afford it she's hoping Bash will agree to help her out.
After hearing her story there's no way he would turn her down, he'll help her for free but he'll have to work on hiding his attraction. The one woman who's been able to turn his head since his ex beast ripped his heart out and he doesn't know how to handle it. This was never in the cards and especially not with the one woman he depends on.

Will mutual attraction ruin the friendship they have? Their business relationship?

Loved Bash and adored Penny's stubborn streak, she has a seriously messed up family history and thankfully Bash was by her side while she dealt with her demons.

This was my first book by the author but I'm completely in love now, I'll definitely be looking into more asap.
