Review: Stain

Stain Stain by J.M. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stain is book 2 in the King's Harlots series, if your not familiar this series will probably be a new twist for you with an all female MC and a group of Alpha Seals.

I'll admit that the author is on my auto read list, that it really doesn't matter what she writes, I'm going to read it. But when the idea for a female MC was introduced I knew I'd love the books.
While these books can be read on their own I recommend reading them in order, if not your missing out on some vital information.

Stain is Ash & Meeka's story.
Ash is a tortured soul. There are things he can't get over in his life but Meeka calms the inner beast. His best friend is the only one who knows what it takes to help him and he's grateful for that.
Things are great between them until Ash is forced to bring Meeka in on a job she want's no part of.
Even if it's wrong he intends to guilt her into accepting.

Meeka isn't the King's Harlots favorite member. Things from the past have caused their fearless leader not to trust her and in turn everyone else is skeptical. She refuses to give up though, she will earn their trust back, get the sisterhood back on solid ground.
She's struggling to get there and when her best friend Asher asks for her help on a job she can't face the idea of getting involved in again. This is what caused all the problems with her MC to begin with.
But Ash knows what buttons to push, knows how to get her to agree. She feels horrible for turning him down and goes to him to accept.

This job is a bit different though. Meeka has to go in as Ash's submissive.
This could be a problem considering he's her best friend.
And the fact that she's now looking at him in a completely different way.
When things heat up between best friends they really heat up, Ash and Meeka are explosive together!
Their working to shut down a sex ring but Asher has his own struggles that may be a bit too much, lucky for him Meeka is his calm and is there to get him through no matter what it takes.

It was great to catch up with Angel and Jay sporadically throughout this story, there are so many secondary characters worth a mention I can't possibly go into detail on them all but Charles Brian. This guy would scare the devil himself, I don't think there's a drop of humanity in his body. He is the epitome of evil.

Stain is fairly fast paced, action packed and sexy as hell. It's a great addition to the series that brought so much more than I was expecting.

Charles Brian. This guy is so far out there, I don't think there's a drop of humanity in him
