Review: Redemption and Regrets

Redemption and Regrets Redemption and Regrets by L.A. Cotton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After reading the first three books in this series I have to say I wasn't looking forward to a book solely focusing on Braiden.
He's a cocky, self entitled brat who uses his name to get what he wants, to get away with what he needs and to scare people.
Honestly his crazy sister Briony is scarier than Braiden is but he has his goons backing him up so it makes him feel like somebody.

That was all before his time in prison.

Book 4 starts with his release from prison where he wasn't protected everyday, he didn't have someone saving his butt nor was everyone there afraid of him.
He came out of prison a different man, not the child who went in.

Upon his release he's picked up by Briony and her new boyfriend Luke.
They have plans for Braiden, have been making plans for him for quite awhile.
The thing is Braiden hasn't decided what he want's in life, he knows he doesn't want to be like his father, he wants more from his life.

Once he meets Cara all hell breaks loose.
The one woman he could love and she's the one he should never have touched.
Rival families want Braiden for different reasons and now he has to decide who and what he wants from life.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I didn't expect too but seeing Braiden's growth as a man, taking responsibility for once in his life and finally making peace with old enemies. Enemies that truly weren't once he opened his eyes and learned the truth about his family.
5 stars.
