Jake

Pulling in eight figures a year as star pitcher for the Chicago Jaguars, there's no shortage of parties, booze, and women. I'm a beast on the mound and between the sheets but when my social media presence becomes a maor problem, the team’s owner brings in a PR expert to clean up my image. Andrea Diggers is the complete opposite of every girl I’ve ever met. She’s smart, classy, and completely off limits. Which makes me want her even more. I’ve always loved a challenge, and Andrea has no idea I'm about to get her to play...on my terms.

Andrea

Cleaning up Jake Napleton’s image may be my hardest assignment yet, and not just because of the secrets he keeps deeply buried. Working alongside the six-foot-six arrogant, filthy-mouthed man is a challenge in restraint. He screams poster-boy for favorite mistakes with his chiseled abs and rippling muscles. And I want to take him up on every dirty word he’s said. But he’s not the only one with something to hide. Our attraction may be immediate. Potent. Dirty. But is it enough to withstand our shadowed pasts?

*Playing Dirty is a full length sexy standalone with an HEA.*

Review
So I love a good sports romance but for some reason this book was just ok for me. It had some really sweet moments that I found myself falling more and more in love with Jake. Andrea for me was a tough nut to crack. She comes from a family that expects more. Her mother has certain plans for her but that didn't include her moving from Tennessee to Chicago. She's made a name for herself in softball but she's trying to make it in PR work. Her boss is a jerk and I don't think until the end, she really did do much to change his image. A couple of instagram pics doesn't change much. No wonder her boss was always on her case. Jake I absolutely loved. He might have been a bad boy baseball player in public but in his private life, he's a total sweetheart. He has a heart of gold but he's afraid to let it out. With Andrea's help, he's able to. The author was new to me but I thought the story really flowed well and the characters are very likeable except for probably Grant, he was grade A jerk face. Everything about this book is real, they showed exactly how scary and dangerous the south side of Chicago really is. Even though I didn't connect all that well with Andrea, I still enjoyed the book.
