Review
Decent read. This story started out strong but fizzled a bit for me towards the end and while I personally enjoyed the first book in this series a bit better, it was nice to have some closure to some loose ends left over from Junkie. Unfortunately this story contained one of my biggest pet peeves especially when I'm reading a story with a big bad ass alpha male who kicks butt first and takes names later and would do anything it took to keep his woman safe - why why why did Miri take off to find Jag, especially after everything she'd been through and knowing how dangerous it was??? Ughh!!! I'll never understand a woman that thinks she knows better and puts herself at risk, I mean have a little bit of faith in your man, geeze Miri, Jag isn't the most feared drug lord for nothing. This isn't his first rodeo and it never bodes well for the woman who ends up needing her man to save her or fix the situation in the end anyways. Rant over - lol! Just a heads up that there are a few parts in this story that some may find hard to read and it truly is emotional. I really enjoyed the ending and how Jag and Miri's lives ended up.
